Anton Siluanov gave a forecast on Russia’s budget deficit in 2017

The budget deficit of the Russian Federation in 2017 will not exceed 2% of GDP, said Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, speaking at a government meeting on Thursday.
«What are our expectations for 2017? We expect that this year the budget deficit will not exceed 2% of GDP, lower than we had originally planned… this is Due to higher revenues additional revenues, as we speak,» said Siluanov.
The current law on the budget for the current year laid the deficit at 2.1% of GDP.
